As we head into the busy festival period now that most leagues are completed we would like to see your best hockey pictures.
Upload your pictures and give us a caption and we will award our favourite a £50 voucher to spend at our retail partner RDSports. So if you need to replace that lost stick, or the astro's you threw up in get those pictures in now. The competition closes on May 31st so that the bank holiday exploits can be included as well.

NE14HOCKEY GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
Monday July 14th 2008 will see the 1st Inter-Hockey Club Golf Competition for NE14HOCKEY members.
4 player teams, better-ball stapleford format.
Two Divisions, Div One, all four players must have club handicaps. Div Two for those who just like a thrash around and maybe only have a society handicap (maximum shots allowed will be 28 for men and 36 for ladies.)
Those with club handicaps can play in Div 2 if they wish. Just tell us your preferred division when you send in your entry.
Team and individual Prizes, including nearest pin, straightest drive etc. There will be prizes for the first 2 teams and the top 2 individuals in each division, as well as a wooden spoon for the strongest team on the day. Prize giving at approximately 5pm after the last group have finished.
Handicap Certificates Required for DIV ONE only (see above).
All team members must be individual members of NE14HOCKEY.com.(£5 fee)
The hockey club the team represents must be registered on NE14HOCKEY (it's FREE).
£65 per team for 18 holes of golf or £95 if you would like to join in the buffet meal and social after the event.

The first venue for the NE14HOCKEY Golf Championship is Thorpewood Golf Club in Peterborough. This is your chance to play a course regarded as one of the best pay and play courses in the country, and to be the first NE14HOCKEY Golf Champions. The post tournament event will be at the Woodman which is adjacent to the course.

The number of teams able to enter will be limited to 36 to keep the day compact. Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis, with additional teams placed on a reserve list. A £20 deposit will be payable with your application. The balance of the entry fee will be required by June 8th 2008, which is also the closing date for entries.
The cost is £65 per team just to play or £95 if you would like to stay for the buffet
We will not be limiting entries to one team per hockey club, so you can take on your mates if you can raise 2 or 3 teams from your club.
The first tee time will be about 9.30 and you can choose your optimum start time, early, middle, or late, and we will do our best to accommodate you request.
There are a number of hotels in the area and we can supply details to those teams travelling from a distance away and intending to make a long weekend of it.
Your team can be Ladies, mixed or Men's, but all players will need to join the NE14HOCKEY hockey website and pay the £5 membership fee, in addition to the tournament entry fee. The club you want to represent will have to be registered on NE14HOCKEY.

Fantasy League - Match Point is easy to play.
Every week we pick 5 games from one of the English Regional Leagues or from Scotland, Wales or Ireland. All you have to do is predict the results. There are 3pts for predicting the correct result win or draw, plus 2 pts for correctly guessing each teams goals scored.
The person with the highest points score each week will win NE14HOCKEY merchandise or a £15 kit voucher to spend at RD-Sports.com. £120 worth of hockey equipment will be the prize for having the highest total points score at the halfway point in December and at the end of the season in April. Just for Fun - The Highest Game Score This Season
We are keeping a note of the team that scores the most goals in a single game, starting from the weekend of October 6th
If you play for a registered club and you knock in a shed load in a game, make sure your press officer lets us know and you might win the end of season trophy as the highest scorers in GB and Ireland.
Watch the news items for details of what you have to beat. The best we have so far is 22 by Market Deeping 1sts on October 29th
Come on you know you can beat it, but don't forget to register your club first.
December Monthly Quiz - Winner markmaccartney
The questions are posed and all we need from you is the answers.
This months prize is a choice between 2 tickets to the European Indoor Championships in Sheffield in January, or a £20 kit voucher to spend at RD Sports our equipment partner.
The competition closes on December 31st so you will have plenty of time to plan your trip if you decide to go and watch England in their return to International Indoor Hockey. The event takes place from January 18th to January 20th and you can go and watch on the day of your choice.

November Monthly Quiz - Now Closed
Every month we will feature a quiz about Olympic and World Hockey.

Premier 123 COMP CLOSED OCT 21st
Entries are in and Bowdon and Reading are the peoples choice in the main. We now wait until April to see if anyone has the correct order.

The deal is being sorted and will be for shirts or whatever the club needs. Their club will be the first to be sponsored by the hottest, newest, brand in hockey.
